My Birthday

My birthday was February 17. I had so much fun! I had 13 girls over for a slumber party! Crazy, right? Here’s how it went:

All the girls came over and I just couldn’t wait to open presents, so I did! I got SO much stuff! I got everything a girl could need, including a brand new phone! It was great!

Lastly, we went to a pizza parlor(Which was absolutely delicious!), we headed over to the mall, and finally went back home. My birthday weekend was AMAZING!

Carrie

I am reading a book called,”Carrie” by Stephen King. It is about a shy, teen girl who comes from a a VERY religious life and family. She doesn’t quite fit in at school and gets made fun of all the time. When prom comes, a boy asks her to go to the prom with him and she gladly accepts. She goes to the prom and is in for quite a surprise from one of her bullies… What happens to Carrie? Read and find out in the book  “Carrie” by Stephen king!

Competition

As they call my dance number to the stage, my heart starts to beat.

I’ve been practicing for 5 months on my sore and aching feet.

The music starts and on I go.

What will happen on the stage… I will never know…

Solo

I walk up to the microphone shaking

I think about this big chance that I am taking

I have prepared and worked so much

Now here I am, the mic is in my touch

I sing my solo confidently

Wow! Look at me!

The Other End

(I walk into the kitchen as my mother is on the phone)

M.P: Yes?

Mom:  I would like to reschedule the date to a sooner time. Her bracket fell off her tooth. (Giggles while speaking)

M.P: All right then, what time and date would you like to reschedule?

Mom: Maybe, Thursday?

M.P: Sorry all our times are taken.

Mom: Alrighty, how about… Monday?

M.P: That is good for me! What time?

Mom: What your latest time open?

M.P: 11:30.

Mom:(Disappointed expression) Oooo, what is your earliest?

M.P: 7:45.

Mom: 7:45 sounds good to me.

And that is when I realized I was going to the…dun, dun, dun…orthodontist!

Bronchitis

Bronchitis is a inflammation of the mucus membrane in the bronchial tubes. I have this little devil of a virus. It’s not like I’m going to die or anything, I’m just sick. I will tell you my story so far with my little “friend”.

It all started about two weeks ago. I was non-stop coughing. I didn’t think it as a big deal…until it progressed. I would stay up all night coughing and wheezing. I told my mother and we got some cough syrup. It would work mostly during the night but, not very well through out the day. As the days would pass on, I started to feel worse and getting worse. I soon started to have sinus inflammation. It was HORRIBLE!

The next week, we finally scheduled a doctors appointment. I went into a small clinic and waited with my Starbucks Frappuccino until it was time for my appointment. I was weighed and then lead into a small room. I got my blood pressure, oxygen, and temperature tested. The nurse left and soon after the doctor came in. She asked about the medicine I was taking, if I have allergies or asthma, have I had surgeries, etc. She tested my breathing and saw that I was wheezing and coughing. She finally did some calculating and said that I have the early stages of Bronchitis. Mind you, I’ve never had Bronchitis ever so I kind of started freaking out. The doctor gave me antibiotics and a inhaler and sent me into another room to do a breathing treatment. After, I felt super dizzy and jittery. My mother and I went home and told the “good news” to my dad and brother. There is NEVER a dull moment in my house. Hopefully this virus will find a new “buddy” and will get better.

A picture is worth a thousand words…

A picture is worth a thousand words. This picture is worth a thousand words to me because I don’t only connect to it as a dancer, but because it represents so many things. This picture is graceful, beautiful, and inspirational. This picture inspires me to work hard as a dancer so i can one day, be almost as perfect as this picture. This picture makes me want to dance not with the feet, but with my heart.

What is word power?

What is positive and negative word power? It’s a sentence that has a lot power and meaning to it. It can affect people positively or negatively. When you say something positive, it makes people happy and makes there day. On the other hand, when you say something negative, it can cause drama and it knocks people down. So, next time you say something to someone make sure you know how much it can affect them positively or negatively.
